Pittie Mama88- 13 hr. ago If my dog is bored or you aren't giving her enough attention, she likes to yawn extremely loud while staring at you. She will do it multiple times until you pay attention to her. My previous dog used to fake limp for attention.

Iron Gal 12 hr. ago Mine threatens me. She used to have separation anxiety - or isolation distress, more like - but she's doing much better now. She still doesn't like to be left alone, so sometimes if I haven't had time to do the whole "I'm leaving but you're OK and I'll be back soon" ritual that we have going on, she'll protest by threatening my belongings.

She'll get into the shoe cabinet and bring out my favourite, most expensive boots and gently lay them in the middle of the living room. Or she'll take my brandname prescription sunglasses out of their case and leave them on the floor. It's all very mafia. "See what almost happened? See what you made me do?"

ModestScallop 13 hr. ago . My dog yelps like I'm hurting her whenever I'm doing something she doesn't like (like clipping her nails or cleaning her ears). I have professionals do her nails now since she doesn't emotionally manipulate them like that

Apprehensively 92. 12 hr. ago My lab was a huge pain to potty train, so we made a massive deal whenever he would poop outside like he was supposed to when he was a puppy. At 9 years old, he still sprints in the house and "celebrates" any time he poops! He gets the zoomies and tells us all about it.

p-feller 13 hr. ago Gorging German Shepherds One of mine whines loudly, like he hasn't eaten in a month. Every Single Time I am preparing food for them. Loud, pathetic sounding whines. (he is a GSD)

MamaSquash8013 - 10 hr. ago When he wants pets, he'll get up next to me on the couch, tip his head back, and slap at me with his paws til I pet him. If I ignore this, he'll turn around with his back to me and lean back until he keels over, belly up, in my lap. He's 100lbs, so...

BeatrixFarrand 10 hr. ago · He sneezes. Multiple times. For attention. As soon as everyone turns to look at him and say "bless you!!", he's fine. And in the mornings if I'm in bed on my phone, he comes up and wedges his head / body between my face and the phone, and uses his paw to push it away from me.

Outrageous-Echidna58 12 hr. ago If you don't pay him attention when you first come in he will stand on his back legs and grabs side of your thigh with his front legs. He will hold on until you acknowledge him. Or on walks he will run and jump off you.

derpcatz 10 hr. ago Makes us hold her bone while she chews on it. If we're sitting on the couch, she will grab her bone and hop up. She then proceeds to drop the bone on the floor and huff and wine at it until we pick it up and hand it to her. If we let go, the cycle repeats.

Brave-Painting3180 · 10 hr. ago Both of mine howl into the Starbucks drive through window when they feel that they have waited too long for a pup cup.

judywinston 11 hr. ago · Wakes up at 4 am and stares out the window into the backyard until I take him outside. If i take too long to get up, he whines at the door. He ONLY does this during bunny season. Including whining at the door. Sleeps until noon and never asks to go out the rest of the year I call him Elmer Fudd

arededitn 12 hr. ago . When he's asking for attention but doesn't get it, my dog in a dramatic way and quickly turns around and walks to his bed and as he laying in his bed to look outside the window huffs loudly.

ne3k07 hr. ago When my dog wants attention, he goes and lays underneath furniture like he is stuck and cries. But now he is too big to fit under most, so just puts his head under there and still cries
  • 17
covenkitchens • 12 hr. ago . One cries the most nerve wracking cry if the door is closed and we're not on the same side, the other one pouts and sighs and lays at the door. I don't know which one is more dramatic.

Ktibbs617 12 hr. ago He boops something that makes noise. He will turn on/off the air purifier that dings. Or he'll move a creaky still and check to see if you're watching him. "Hello, excuse me, I need some attention!"

No_Virus_7704 - 13 hr. ago He wants to kill the taxidermy (deer heads) that have been on the wall for years. Never gets over it. Does same thing with sweeper. So very ferocious.

CatpeeJasmine. 12 hr. ago Champion CC: JRT mix & Lucy: ACD ... "Dead dog" is her attention-getting trick. Like, if she feels like we are not paying enough attention to her, she'll sigh dramatically, flop over "dead," and then side eye us. If it didn't work, she'll heave herself up, sigh even bigger, and do it again.

reallybirdysomedays 12 hr. ago Hides under the bed to avoid nail trims. She weighs 130lbs!!! It takes her some effort to get under a bed.

LamePennies 11 hr. ago When he is bored or wants attention my dog will purposely and very obviously roll his ball under furniture and then grumble and cry until someone comes to retrieve it. Then he whines until you throw it for him. It's like being conned into playing fetch.

AdIll6974 12 hr. ago Ours "talks" to people when he isn't getting attention. Went right up to the vet during an appointment and demanded pets by talking to her. He also walks into his daycamp and HOWLS at the top of his lungs to let the other dogs know he's there.

unlovelyladybartleby 13 hr. ago Mine will lay along the arm of the couch and let out these intense dramatic moans (for up to an hour) if he wants his belly rubbed but doesn't want to get up. We call it "Blanche DuBois time"

Oldladyphilosopher - 12 hr. ago Our Pomeranian every time my husband is near the treat door (he is a sucker). She barks softly and whines while dancing on her back feet until she is overcome with "vapors" and gently falls to the floor on her side, turning her head to stare at him with liquid brown eyes. It's like watching a silent screen star “faint". The long suffering over the shoulder eye contact is really amazingly dramatic.

RunninUpThat DarnHill 12 hr. ago · My dog will wait until I'm in bed to start screaming and hitting me so that I'll go get her a plate of food... She doesn't eat it though. Nooo. She just like having the OPTION of eating it in case she decides she wants a midnight snack later. She'll then leave it til morning, which is a problem because she has to eat expensive canned food that expires when left out too long. She's such a pain and I love her so much.

counthotchOcula - 12 hr. ago If I wake up, get ready for the day and make myself breakfast all without acknowledging that he's a handsome boy and was suntannin' in the window he will let out this low rumble/growl sound and stretch until I pay attention to him. Basically if I don't' speak to him first thing in the morning or for an extended period of time, he starts grumbling/howling until I pay attention. Like I know herding breeds are drama, but he is a whole other level.

Nerdysnow 12 hr. ago My girl is an early riser. Often at 530, she gets off our bed, goes into the hall and rolls around in front of the motion activated nightlight. When that fails to get us up, she goes downstairs and grabs a squeak toy. She holds it but doesn't squeak it right away. First she'll stand between the bed and closet and wag her tail so the door sounds like a gong. And then she'll drop the toy in our bed. We don't often sleep in anymore

GarageFlashy5450 - 12 hr. ago I have a pom, so he has long hair. Whenever a dried leaf gets stuck on his bottom, he sits down and cries as if he was in pain to get me to remove it as quick as possible

Gordon_in_Ukraine 13 hr. ago · Not does, as in repeats. But I was sitting with my rescue girls in the kennel, and Mia was chewing a bone that Mini Mouse wanted. When one of the Keepers walked by outside, Mini looked over at Mia, then jumped up barking. At a Keeper that had walked by already. Mia jumped up to bark in sympathy, and Mini Mouse darted back to grab her prize.

When Mia realised she was barking at nothing and her bone had been stolen, she came and sat on Mini Mouse's head while she chewed.
